Fried prunes - recipe

Some claim plums are best in liquid form (read brandy!) but it would be a shame not to try this recipe which involves marinating and frying prunes, before dousing them in rum. The sweetest of delicacies you will agree!

Ingredients:

100 g fine flour
1/4 l milk
50 g yeast
5 cl rum
20 g vanilla sugar
prunes for 6 portions
50 g icing sugar
300 g whipping cream
oil
almonds (one for every plum)

Instructions:

Douse the prunes in rum, fill with almonds and marinate. Create a leaven dough, in which you should wrap the plums before dropping into a pan of hot oil. While still warm sprinkle with vanilla sugar and a dash of rum. Finish off with a dollop of whipped cream.
