Just try and leave some of this for the next day’s lunch! You’ll see just how these rolls with rice taste even better when the tastes are allowed to fully blend with one another. And you don’t have to worry too much about the side dish – it’s enough to simply slice up some white bread.


500 g pork mince
1 white cabbage
2 cups of rice
1 medium jar tomato puree
1 jar sauerkraut
bay leaf
chilli peppers


Take the cabbage, remove the outer leaves and rinse. Place in a pan of boiling water and cook. While boiling, remove the cabbage leaves one by one until you reach the core. Season the mince meat with salt and pepper and mix together with uncooked rice and tomato puree. Wrap a cabbage leaf around small portions of the mixture. Take a large pan and create layers of sauerkraut and rolls, beginning on the bottom with rolls. Pour in some water and cook until soft.
