Asparagus with ham and thick noodles - recipe

Asparagus is such a firm favourite among food lovers that for a long time it has been known as ‘king of the veg’. Before you embark on any more demanding asparagus recipes, why not try this simple dish.
Ingredients:
| 700 g freshly picked asparagus 100 g butter 400 g ham 400 g thick noodles tablespoon oil |
ground white pepper allspice bay leaf salt |
Instructions:
Peel the asparagus and blanche in salted water containing the allspice berries. Boil the egg noodles in salted water containing a little oil. Slice the ham into long strips and fry for a short time in butter. Mix this with the noodles, add the asparagus and douse with the rest of the melted butter.
