The Taste Czech Cuisine project has been launched. The joint efforts of the CzechTourism agency, the Association of Hotels and Restaurants and the Association of Chefs and Confectioners within the scope of this project have been rewarded. The web pages of the project www.ochutnejtecr.eu have started working and a catalogue has been issued containing the best of the specialities of individual regions in the Czech Republic.

Website preview On these pages you will not only find exquisite recipes and great photographs of traditional regional meals, but also a form. By filling the form out, hotel operations and restaurants can apply for certification of its facility and receive the CzechSpecials symbol, with which the restaurant and its menu will be marked.

Czech or foreign tourists will be able to taste the Czech national speciality svíčkova (beef in a thick carrot, parsley root cream sauce), regional delicacies and oftentimes the chef's surprise as well, in the pleasant atmosphere of such restaurants.

The goal of the project is to make potential tourist destinations more attractive through the unique Czech cuisine and to not only present culinary specialities of the given region to foreign tourists, but mainly Czech tourists.

"We would like to primarily address the Czech public because in order to discover your own country, you also need to taste it," said the Project Manager Pavel Klicpera.

"I believe that thanks to this project, not only will we manage to liven up a number of our grandmothers' exquisite recipes, but other clients, either local or foreign, will be tempted to visit Czech restaurants and pubs, and we will prepare unforgettable culinary experiences for them," says Deputy Director of the CzechTourism agency Pavel Kosař.
